Penny Drive by Great Hearts - Archway Lincoln

We are so happy to announce the generosity and thoughtfulness of the students, parents, staff, and faculty of Great Hearts - Archway Lincoln in Chandler, AZ. In May 2021, the Administrative staff rallied the entire community in a penny drive to support the philanthropic effort of their Headmaster, Dr Oluwatoyin Atolagbe, who is a Board member and Advisor for Agape School Foundation, parent company of Agape International School. They announced this initiative to her during an assembly in honor of her birthday.
Agape International school is a Pre-K to 6th-grade school that provides free education to children in the lowest socio-economic class in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. It was founded by Ms. Bisayo Atolagbe to provide free education for less privileged children to afford them otherwise unreachable opportunities, fulfill their potential, and secure their future.
This charitable endeavor raised $3,211 for the Agape foundation. With a donation of $300, the Agape Foundation can sponsor one child through an entire school year and with $100 through a trimester at Agape International School. Archway Lincoln's penny drive proceeds will go towards funding 32 children in the upcoming trimester of the 2021/2022 School year.
The kind gesture extended to us by Great Hearts-Archway Lincoln is commendable and appreciated. We are reminded of the words of Mother Theresa that "Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love." Your kindness towards sponsoring the students at Agape may be small in your eyes, but in ours, it is an expression of your love that will go a great mile.
